The Nine Hats Winery Reserve wines go beyond our original vision of crafting nine exceptional wines. Initially made for our Social Club Members, they proved to be a hit and we are now making them available to everyone!
2016 Nine Hats Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
At this price point, it would be hard to find a better value Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2016 Nine Hats Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is deep crimson in color with expressive aromatics of blackberry cobbler and oak spice. This wine displays a very rich texture and viscosity layered with flavors of black cherry, dark chocolate and sweet spices. Its vibrant character is balanced by an impressive richness that leads to a long-lasting finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, predominately sourced from the Walla Walla Valley, was blended with Petit Verdot from Dionysus Vineyard, Merlot from Weinbau Vineyard, and Syrah from Boushey Vineyard to give the wine its impressive complexity and full mid-palate. Aged 18 months in 50% new French oak barrels.
This wine is in a perfect drinking window and has been aged so you can buy it today and enjoy it tonight! It would be great for a weekend BBQ with grilled meats and burgers.

2017 Nine Hats Reserve GSM
Another great reserve red wine is our 2017 Nine Hats Reserve GSM. The color is deep and brilliant with hues of garnet and dark mahogany. An impressive array of black currant, baked raspberry and wild cherry aromas and flavors are enveloped in savory notes of sage and dried herbs. Powerful yet elegant with refined tannins that lend texture from entry to finish create a bold flavor profile and offer a balanced and layered finish. Predominately sourced from Boushey Vineyard and Heart of the Hill Vineyard, this wine has amazing complexity and structure and is representative of these highly regarded vineyards.
This wine is perfect for those who love the classic "iron fist in a velvet glove" wine. Something robust, yet extremely refined. With its dark black fruit core, this wine is a great sipper on its own but would go very well with sharp cheeses and fig jam.

2018 Nine Hats Reserve Chardonnay
The third wine in our Reserve lineup is our much beloved Chardonnay. The 2018 Nine Hats Reserve Chardonnay offers beautiful aromas and flavors of white peaches, jasmine flowers and ripe stone fruits. A vibrant entry reveals a creaminess on the mid-palate that complements its rich character and elegant finish. Sourced from top vineyards in the Yakima Valley, the French Creek Vineyard provided texture and richness and the Boushey Vineyard its brightness and acidity. The wine was aged for ten months in 35% French concrete eggs, which contribute to its freshness and minerality. A broad mid-palate and depth in the finish can be attributed to the 65% that was aged in French oak barrels (half new, half neutral).
This wine is the perfect combination of a zippy fruit forward Chardonnay (like you often get in an all stainless steel Chardonnay) with a delicate balance of oak for richness and mouthfeel. It's a striking wine and one that is hard to put down. For pairing ideas, think grilled salmon, fish tacos, or spicy Thai dishes.
