2019 Red Wine Columbia Valley

A multi-layered blend with intense aromatics and flavors of black cherries, dark chocolate and oak spice. It has a wonderfully rich but refined texture with vibrant black fruit notes. Cabernet Sauvignon from Weinbau Vineyard and McNary Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA provides a firm backbone and silky texture while the Merlot from Weinbau fills the mid-palate. The Malbec adds layers of complexity and spice to deliver a complete wine.

Rewarding from the first taste, beautiful minerality is present on the nose with a rich mouthfeel of black raspberry, licorice and roasted coffee. A bold yet well-balanced wine, this Columbia Valley Syrah is made from select vineyards that exhibit rich and distinctive varietal character. Red Mountain’s Vineyards give the wine its structure and opulent full body. Stone Tree and Candy Mountain vineyards provide savory notes of smoked meats, tapenade and sage while the 1993 planting at Dutchman's Vineyard in the Yakima Valley enhances the brightness. Columbia Valley
Elegant and inviting with vibrant aromatics of fresh jasmine, white peach and hints of baking spice. Flavors of dried apricots and quince highlight a creaminess on the palate that is well balanced by the wine’s lively acidity. The 2018 Nine Hats Chardonnay was sourced primarily from the Yakima Valley’s French Creek and Boushey vineyards. It is a cooler AVA that helps retain the Chardonnay’s acidity and elegance. The wine was aged for 9 months on the lees in French oak barrels and cement eggs.
