Mulled Spiced Wine Recipe

  • 1 bottle Nine Hats Red Wine
  • 1/2 bottle Nine Hats Pinot Gris
  • 1 Orange
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 two-inch piece of peeled ginger
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Nine Hats Spiced Wine Sachet (available with the Mulled Wine Kit)


  1. Use a knife/peeler to remove zest from orange into medium pot
  2. Juice orange into pot
  3. Thinly slice the apple into the pot
  4. Add 1 bottle Nine Hats Red Wine to pot
  5. Add 1/2 bottle Nine Hats Pinot Gris to pot
  6. Add Spiced Wine Sachet to pot
  7. Stir in 1/3 cup brown sugar until disolved
  8. Heat on medium until heated through but NOT boiling
  9. Add 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  10. Simmer on medium-low for 45 minutes to an hour
  11. Stir and taste during this time and drink when it's to your liking!
